Big game night with the visit of Virtus Segafredo Bologna to La Fonteta

Valencia Basket returns to La Fonteta fifteen days after its last game in front of its people to face a direct duel against another of the contenders for the first places in the 7DAYS EuroCup group B, Virtus Segafredo Bologna, in a game corresponding to the round 13 of the continental tournament (Wednesday 9, 8:45 p.m., Fonteta, DAZN).

 

With the capacity of the Fonteta still reduced to 50%, all those season-ticket holders who kept their tickets active have guaranteed access to the game. The taronja squad will try to return to the path of victory after breaking their winning streak in extra time on the Gran Canaria track against a rival that ended up knocking down in the first round with an epic comeback and against whom a win would have the prize addition of making it 2-0 in the particular confrontation against one of the favorites to lift the title.

 

To do this, coach Joan Peñarroya will once again have available the twelve players from his professional roster for the second consecutive game, although it will be the first time that he can do so in the 7DAYS EuroCup on a night in which Víctor Claver will once again have the option of return to the courts after almost four months away from the hardwood due to an injury to his left foot.

 

In a clash between two of the best attacks in the competition, Valencia Basket will try to extend its good run against rivals of this nationality at La Fonteta (9 wins and 3 losses), especially in this tournament, where no Italian team has won on our court at the 7DAYS EuroCup.

 

In a game that will mark the first return of Virtus to La Fonteta a little less than 22 years after that second leg game of the 1999-00 Saporta Cup quarter-finals where our team was about to recover the 24-point deficit that was brought from the first leg. The taronja team currently occupies the second position in group B with a balance of 8-4 in the standings.
